If you missed “Creating Magic,” make a commitment to never miss another event we host! Of course I am razzing you a bit if you were not there, but in all seriousness Arthur, Matt and myself worked very hard on this event and it was one for the record books. I suppose Lee Cockerell being the main event didn’t hurt either. Lee’s message hit home with the packed house of some of Tulsa’s top entrepreneurs, executives and their elite teams. I wanted to take the time to share with you some of the points from this great message:

  • Hire right, train them right, treat them right
  • Have very high expectations for your team
  • You are getting better slowly or worse slowly
  • When a customer is upset, it is usually not directed at you. “Let it go” -Frozen Movie reference of course
  • It is not your job to motivate people, its their job. Its your job to hire motivated people from the get go.
  • Once you start doing the hard things the job gets easier.
  • You do not have to do everything, but you still have to get it all done.
  • Finally, always communicate to your leaders and your team how you want your business run. If you don’t, eventually it will run without your influence.

This can be a big challenge considering all of the things pulling at us on a daily basis. Faith, family, health, career and a myriad of other things competing for our time. We must choose wisely, and to do so we have to be skilled in the way of Life Management.

I hope you find this occasional word valuable to you. If you do, please share with your friends. To obtain tools that will help you in this mission to success please visit the sites below.
